SCB announces the change of name of the company from Standard Chartered Bank Ghana Limited to Standard Chartered Bank PLC effective 25th November, 2020.

The name change is to comply with the provisions of the Companies Act 2019, Act 992, which requires that all public companies limited by shares must have the words Public Limited Company or its abbreviated form “PLC” as a suffix to their registered name.

The name change was approved by a special resolution of the company’s shareholders at the company’s Annual General Meeting which was held on 29th July 2020, and a new certificate issued to the company by the Registrar of Companies on 25th November 2020.
